I believe I have always been a photographer, capturing memory, stopping time, turning thousandths of a second into moments of eternity.
Then came the many journeys that allowed me to discover different worlds and, more than simply seeing, to truly observe.
It is often encounters that guide me toward new worlds, new stories, inspiring places.
Passionate people fascinate me; they have so much to say and to share.
For a photographer, vision begins with listening.
I don't wait for images to come to me I go after them; I hunt them.
That quest is what drives me; the result is the expression of what I find, discover, and feel.
Whether through reportage, a series, or a single image, I like to think that I tell stories or perhaps awaken them.
My playground is our urban space, constantly oscillating between geometry and chaos, precision and approximation.
This world of angles, curves, lines, and shadows is one where we sometimes forget that humans
can lose themselves.
And when nature is absent, the human figure alone breaks the graphic rhythm, being the only natural form in such an environment.
Perhaps that is where its solitude comes from.
I try to make reality appear a little less real to infuse it with my own emotion, and to let the viewer follow their own path, to confront their imagination with mine, and perhaps see something other than what is shown.
Through my photographs, I invite you to look at what cannot be seen, to listen to what is not said, and to let your imagination travel the rest of the way.
Bon voyage...
